class=\"translation-block\"><b>Quality and Comparability<\/b><br>\nTo ensure that laboratory tests deliver consistent results everywhere, we evaluate whether different methods and instruments produce comparable outcomes \u2013 supporting the harmonization of diagnostic procedures.<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\"><b>Biomarker Studies<\/b><br>\nBiomarkers are measurable characteristics in the body that can indicate disease.\nWe design and conduct studies that assess how reliably these markers perform in clinical practice and how much diagnostic value they provide.<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\"><b>Reference Materials<\/b><br>\nTo validate laboratory tests, you need \u201creference samples\u201d with well-defined properties.\nWe develop such materials to help comparison studies in which several laboratories analyze the same samples.\nThis allows us to determine how robust a method is \u2013 and how consistently results can be reproduced across
